gooooood morning … last night, i turned my tv on for the first time in nearly a year to watch the price william and dutchess kate love story last night. my evening ended at 11:15pm with tears streaming down my face. now … who wants to get me a coffee?

like clockwork, i am awake before dawn and ready for my science class this morning. this fact about me, my early saturday morning schedule, is the worst fact about me.
i can’t remember the last time i had a drink. no champagne showers here. my friend suggested i should invest in a drink called “old fashioned” because i’ve become that twenty-three year old who gets into her pjs at 6 pm to study on a friday.
this lovely sushi feast was weeks ago, i am the worst blogger at the moment. i can’t even remember the last time i used my dslr. thankfully my iPhone 4s is so fantastic.
gina and i caught up for sushi at kura and this meal ended with us both waddling home, in a massive food coma … hello food baby belly.
good morning. yesterday was anzac day which marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by australian and new zealand forces during the first world war.

we spent the day at the casino. despite the sunshine, the wind was freeeeezzzzzzing and we all decided that a day indoors was our best course of action. i refuse to get sick this year, fingers crossed!
naturally we ate at fat noodle because i’m obsessed and i wouldn’t miss an opportunity to dine at my favourite place. i will be here even more because the weather calls for steaming hot soup with wontons. the parentals ate the other dishes which were the soft shell crab salad and cinnamon prawns.

we went to the casino with the intention to
play 2UP which is illegal but is allowed to played legally in public only on special days, such as anzac day. i had never heard of 2UP, let alone played it so i was excited to experience it for the first time.
2UP is very simple, the odds are 50/50 and that’s what i very quickly became to love about it. you have three coins, you bet either heads or tails and a spinner throws said coins in the air. the players bet on whether the coins will land on heads or tails before the spinner throws the coins. if the coins land the side you have bet on then you win and vice versa.

i personally watched and saw the parentals double their money which is happiness. it is a true blue aussie stapple and a loud one at that. it is fast and it is dirty, i loved it!
we finished our evening with brinner. hello unphotographed scrambled egg whites, vegan sausages, tomato, avocado and toast.
#lestWEforget
hello everyone!
i was excited to read your juice recipes on the iphone via my inbox this morning for the new series on my blog. i noticed that the majority of you are vegetable juice lovers and i can not wait to try your suggested combinations. sqeee.

bread and circus, what can i say about this place that hasn’t already been said other than omg.i’m.in.serious.love.with.this.place.
since my first visit in december last year, i have been dying to drag allllll my friends there to enjoy the fresh organic produce and to experience the exceptional daily.changing.menu by the incredibly talented amanda and her team.
my brunch was the morning jumble: very brilliant bircher with dairy, finicky fresh fruit and biodynamic yoghurt. the bircher was full of shredded coconut and topped with crunchy granola, maple syrup and hazelnuts. my fresh cold press organic juice was pineapple and mint.

nadia, mia, gina and i decided to have a girls brunch at 10:45 am and the wait, oh gosh, the wait was long. one must know that if you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you. the canteen style they have decided upon meant we had a good twenty minute wait in the line. let it also be known that finding a table is difficult, i saw four grown men sitting at the kids table. we were lucky to find a table within fifteen minutes.

the portion sizes are large, exceptionally large and their chocolate/hazelnut/sea salt cookies equal happiness. i ordered a juice for the road and enjoyed my bricher for dessert on sunday night with additional fruit.
if you have a spare hour or two on the weekend, you must make sure that you spent it here. i highly recommend this canteen because the flavours that come out of their open kitchen are splendid.
before i go, i would like to say that if you see me out and about … i promise i won’t bite you. please say hello, don’t email me after the fact, i would love to discuss our mutual love for food.

i’m consider making ‘juicing monday’ a feature on my blog. maybe!
what do you think?

i would love to hear your juicing ideas and try them out on the blog each week. i don’t know about you but i am constantly on the look-out for new combinations and i’d like to have a section on the blog for inspiration.
this juice was a strange one, it was full of all the dregs in my fridge. i often buy more fruit and vegetables than i can eat in one week because i am mesmerized by the enticing way my local hf displays their produce.
my juice was carrot, red grape, orange, lemon and ginger with raspberries, kiwi and passionfruit added to the glass. i like to chew my juices - weirdest statement ever … i know!

i adore that my juicer can work with any ingredient that i place inside, it’s perfection in a juicer. i am extremely happy with the sheer power it has.
do you own a juicer, do you have a suggestion for me to try?

good (very early) morning to you, oh lovely friends of mine. i hope you have had a splendid week, despite the rain sydney has endured. my week was full of algebra and i won’t bore you with the fact that i’m struggling.
i have a very determined personality and thus, i will conquer this maths problem i’m having. i have a goal in my mind and i will achieve it. you are looking at a future nutritionist.
i went to bed at 9:30pm last night and i’m well rested, ready for my earth and environmental sciences class today.
simone and i headed down to kura last friday night and we ordered the teriyaki salmon with a main sized sashimi because we are obsessed. it was nice to catch up with my friend and i just adore our healthy lady dates!
oh hai, happy wednesday evening … also known as hump night. sorry, i couldn’t resist!

who turned the taps on over sydney? come on fess up, who was it? i won’t hurt you, i’ll just ignore you for several days. confess already.
in addition to the water, people are catching colds left, right and centre … the roof in my study leaked, again.
with the temperature dropping and my iron levels just below their happy level, i’ve started to begin my mornings with a variation of what i have dubbed “breakfast in a saucepan” – the most creative name ever invented. not!

this is not a recipe post, it couldn’t be. i will leave this one up to what you have in your kitchen because that is what dictates my mornings.
before you ask and i know somebody will, mine was an egg white omelette filled with baby spinach, baked beans, diced tomato, sliced avocado and toasted turkish bread.
