A High Tea afternoon

Family at Atlantis, North Ryde, Sydney, Australia

tuesday, it’s a terrific tuesday. how are you doing? before i discuss this lovely outing, i just wanted to share with you an exciting piece of news.

i collected my maths assignment last night and when i opened my red manila folder, i noticed a bright red 10/10. i am thrilled with that result, i jumped for joy when i left the classroom. t-minus 6 days until the maths test.

back to the post …
when you receive an invitation to have high tea, you accept. you must always accept. as a female, it’s built into our dna to simply adore the act that is high tea.

as an adult, i have become rather fond of an afternoon high tea. i have come to greatly appreciate having a glass of champagne at two oclock in the afternoon, eating sandwiches that are without their crust, diving into a scone and finishing the afternoon with a selection of desserts while chatting with your family and/or friends.

the menu at atlantis for high tea is expansive. we decided to have a glass of bubbles because when four ladies gather, it’s a requirement – i’m pretty sure that it is in a female handbook.

i asked for vegetarian option and the owner was more than happy to accommodate my request explaining that he would organize that for me without hesitation.

this post is the kind where i explain to you that i had a delightful afternoon with janet who was visiting from nz, my grandma and mother chef about two weeks ago … and leave it that.
