when the morning started today, i knew i had a lunch with marty so i took it lightly with breakfast. i had myself a C.E.R.E.A.L bowl, mainly for training fuel but also because i’m not able to say no to strawberries. those sweet pink gems are addictive!
today i had a slightly less strenuious workout with lily, i feel an infection coming on. my body is aching so i refused to push myself, i still had a pretty intense ab workout.
i’ve not officially announced it but i’m doing working on cleaning up my insides by eating as clean as possible until october. i’m sort of redoing my cleanse but for a longer period of time & with less restrictions)
marty & i decided to go back to galon for their rolls, after staring at their menu numerous times. we both decided to have a drink with our lunches. it was after 12, one beer won’t kill me. i throughly enjoyed this beer, (it’s the lemon wedge that wins me over) despite the fact that chef-boy tells me i should have had white wine with my lunch, oops!
we both selected rolls from the menu, there are four in total. i chose the pork roll (slow roasted pork,
chili lime pickle aioli, crispy onion, rocket & tomato with a side salad sans dressing. the aioli was really spicy (i got it on the side) & i’m actually glad i didn’t have it in my roll because minus aioli i was able to really taste the pork.
i ended up pushing the onions off my rolls & as i lifted my second half, i realized my belly couldn’t finish the entire roll, so i pushed the ingredients into my salad & enjoyed those together. i also love that the salad came topped with feta & olives, that’s a real bonus!
this roll was not something i’d normally order. however, i’m glad i tried it because my curiosity got the better of me. it was nice & tender but i’m not going to be ordering it again.
