Baked Peaches & Pies

when you buy too many peaches, i suggest you bake some.

i cut my peaches in half & then made larger ‘wells’ in them.

i decided on three different fillings for mine. my main ingredient was ricotta. i chose almond butter, passionfruit with a glazed cherry & supercrack jam as my separate mix-ins.

with those in the oven at 170c/340f, i had 15 minutes to spare. i had a slice of toast with tomato & fresh basil.

out came the baked peaches. these babies were steaming & the ricotta was baked to perfection.

the chefette” & i decided to have a spastic photoshot after she bought the wrong shade of bronzer, it was a classic. sure these pictures might be just here for me to giggle at later on in my life.

mj” & i went out on a small trek for pies, yes, pies. we caught the light rail into the city.

our destination: harry’s cafe de wheels in haymarket. Harry's Cafe de Wheels on Urbanspoon

i had a veggie pie with vegetables in a creamy sauce smothered in bbq sauce. i was a little worried it might have been extremely creamy but luckily for me it was quite a dry pie, sounds bad but that’s exactly what i was hoping for.

i grabbed a grande skim latte from starbucks & jumped back on the light rail.

i’m off to clean my room & get my desk sorted.
