Sashimi

Just like Susan, I’m going to review my goals.

My goals for August:
1. No more than 5 cups of coffee a week. I had 4 this week. Massive Tick
2. Finally send the packages out that are ready to go out. Sadly not done yet. Fail
3. Find the perfect egg white scramble or omelette in my local area. Haven’t been out for breakfast this week.
4. Eat out only twice a week, spending no more than $25 a visit. I ate out three times. ($16.80, $15, $27.60)
5. Bake more. Nope, haven’t done any.

My Eats

Breakfast

I started my morning with this spread. Time consuming but it’s tasty as ever!I went for basic flavors this morning. The dairy was low seeing as we’re fridge-less.I made my Basic Stovetop Oats, I topped it with banana & natural sultanas.

Coffee Break

We managed to find a spare hour during our afternoon & stopped in a H2o for Coffee. There is something perfect about drinking a Skinny Latte by the water, in the sun.

Dinner

We decided to try Wasabi in Pyrmont for some Sushi. They offer $2.80 meals on a Monday night with their Train but seeing as I’m Aussie, I ordered off the menu.

I started with Edamame (Which I’ve never actually had before). My starter was Sashimi My main was Teriyaki Chicken.
This dish came with a salad, I actually remembered to get the dressing on the side.
White rice is like crack, I never make it at home so having it when I’m out is a real treat.

Wasabi is a chain restaurant but I wouldn’t have known that if I didn’t do my research, like a blogging nerd. The language barrier was an issue but we eventually understood each other. The chef was great & was able to understand the various alterations I requested.
I might even be super adventurous & eat from the train for the cheaper eats next time.

LOVE sashimi!! Don’t worry about those packages, I totally blanked on the Fluff when I went grocery shopping on Sunday. Sucks even more because I’m out of Fluff at home too! You’ll get it soon enough, promise :)

  2. So what did you think of the edamame? I’m not a big fan but that’s mainly because I’ve mostly come across overcooked and bland ones. Had some nicely-cooked ones sprinkled with salt flakes and yum!
