It was a busy Friday. We had some food shopping to do (details later), the kitchen had a few touches done & we cleaned up a bit more of the apartment.
Rewind to this morning …
“Can I take your picture for my blog?”
The kitchen is beautiful, I’m the first to admit that.
The problem is it’s got soo many gadgets that aren’t working properly. We installed Blum Servo-Drive Drawers which are excellent & we’re still getting used to them. The kitchen has had a substantial amount of work done & it’s a shame that two weeks after we move in, they are still fixing things.
We are slowly moving our way through the boxes in our apartment. We’re discovering things we’d forgotten & trying to find everything new spots.
Discoveries
Today we went food shopping at IGA. I’ve never shopped there before & was delighted to find their extensive organic section. I’m a huge sucker for organic food. I’m spent a good 45 minutes enjoying the organic section, picking out a few things. I was just about to leave the organic area & out the corner of my eye I see a few cans of Amy’s Organic Products
I was so excited. I’ve seen many bloggers who eat Amy’s Organic Products & wasn’t even aware we could get it here (details later).
Here is what Amy’s Organic Products I purchased.
I was surprised at just how much more expensive it is to buy organic. Sadly to say, I won’t be returning to IGA simply because my shopping bill tripled in the visit. At the moment, I can’t justify the cost.
Eats
Breakfast was Heinz Baked Beans on one slice of Lawson’s Settlers Grain Bread, with two Wholemeal Crumpets with Vegemite PLUS a bowl of pear, grapes & Fat Free Jalna Yogurt
(Total Fat – 6 g. Total Carbs – 133.1g. Total Protein – 51.3g.)
For Dinner, I decided to try Amy’s Organic Chili with Vegetables with some Brown rice & a carrot.
I’m a bit upset about Amy’s Organic Chili with Vegetables because when I opened the can, I found a huge layer of oil/fat in the can. I drained that off & heated about half the can in the microwave. I had a few mouthfuls & realized I couldn’t eat anymore. It tasted like metal, bland & just disgusting. Not again!
I settled with half a can of Country Ladle Farmhouse Vegetable Soup
(Total Fat – 0.2 g. Total Carbs – 5.6 g. Total Protein – 1.7 g.)
Dessert was the usual, fruit & Fat Free Jalna Yogurt
(Total Fat – 0.2g. Total Carbs – 14.8g. All per 100g serve)
(Days Total Fat – 6.4 grams. Days Total Carbs – 138.7 grams. Days Total Protein – 53 grams)
